Begin the specialized Synthetic-Landscape-and-Thermal-Mitigation-Audit by performing a Blade-Perpendicularity-and-Infill-Volume-Analysis of the artificial turf system. The primary objective is to verify that the Infill-Column (typically silica sand or acrylic-coated granules) is sufficient to support the turf blades and provide ballast, as low infill levels lead to permanent Blade-Flattening and excessive heat absorption, with surface temperatures potentially exceeding 160°F (71°C). Start by performing the Blade-Perpendicularity-Audit: inspect high-traffic zones and pet areas. To achieve a Gold Standard of turf aesthetics, the blades must stand 100% upright; if the turf feels Hard or the black backing is visible, the infill has migrated or compacted and requires a Top-Off application. Conduct the Power-Broom-De-Compaction-Protocol: use a motorized power-broom or a stiff-bristle nylon turf rake to brush the turf against the grain.
