Begin the high-priority subterranean-environmental audit by performing a Full-Surface-Coverage-Analysis of the crawlspace vapor barrier. The primary objective is to ensure that the soil is 100% encapsulated by a minimum 6-mil (preferably 10-mil to 20-mil) polyethylene membrane, which acts as the primary defense against ground-source moisture, wood-destroying fungi, and the infiltration of hazardous soil gases like Radon.
