Begin the critical life-safety audit by performing a Biohazard-Early-Warning-Analysis of all Carbon Monoxide (CO) detection devices. The primary objective is to verify that the home's Silent-Killer defense system is 100% operational, as CO is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas produced by incomplete combustion in furnaces, water heaters, and fireplaces that can reach lethal concentrations before occupants are aware of a problem. Start by performing the Deployment-Compliance-Scan: ensure that a CO detector is installed on every level of the home and, most importantly, within 15 feet of every bedroom door to ensure the alarm is audible to sleeping occupants.
